My son is almost 5 yrs old and he's pulling shit all the time now. He's learned how to be sneaky. We share a room and instead of being loud as fuck when he gets up and waking me up like he did when he was younger, he now sneaks out of the bedroom to see if there's any shit, aka candy, to pillage while unsupervised. We put candy up high in the cupboards etc.. but that didn't work, he got a chair and helped himself.

Ahh, but gluttony is a sin yes? He learned that the hard way.

I was on the computer one night and all the sudden I hear pitter patter of feet heading to the bathroom and gagging sounds. WTF? OK Gavin is getting sick. Go in there he's puking in the toilet, he just had an ice cream sandwich, so I ask him if he had too much candy, response is "yeahhh". Stupid me for feeding him an answer instead of making him think of a lie, therefore improving my chances of sniffing out a lie. I R dumb sometimes. As I'm wiping his mouth off, comforting him while he's sick, i notice white crystals all over his face. I asked him what those are. No response, puking etc.. I don't blame him. Go in the bedroom and there's the salt shaker with the lid unscrewed and shit tons of salt all over my bed. He stole the salt shaker thinking it was sugar, took a shot, and made him puke, hahaha. Then I guess he decided fling it all around because it was all over my fuckin bed, sweet. A day or two later he dumped a whole thing of lemon pepper spice in the sink. What a dick. :)

Going to my first NBA game ever in a week with Wes, Trailblazers vs Celtics, in Portland obv. I hope Garnett is back from injury, the Celtics are going all the way this year, print it. I'm a Suns fan but I don't see how the Celts can lose as long as the key players stay healthy.

Buenos Noches
<img width='1' height='1' the least so lets begin rant ....

Public Bathroom Etiquette: When you are done using a bathroom stall, do everyone a favor and leave the fuckin door cracked open. I don't want to play peek-a-boo through the cracks of a stall with a 250lb man taking shit.

I could just walk up real quick and tug on the door, no peek-a-boo, but I hate to walk up and tug on a closed door that's locked and give someone a shit kill. When I'm in the stall and some putz pulls that shit on me, for a split second I think, "did I lock the fuckin door?" as my asshole clenches up and I prepare for the worst. It's a shit kill. Now I have to spend extra time making myself comfortable enough again to finish my shit. For common courtesy sake, I don't do that.

It's an awkward feeling when you attempt to open a stall door that you think is unoccupied and it's locked. It feels intrusive the split second you pull and realize it's locked. The next split second you realize you are standing 2 feet away from someone taking a shit, possibly worse. Instinct kicks in, back away as quickly as fucking possible.

Brown discolored pussies on white women: What is the story on this phenomenon? I can see Blacks, Latinas, Asians, Cubans, name your brown nationality of choice, having these pussy colors. But how does a white woman end up with brown nether regions? Did she wipe the wrong way as a child and it forever stained her womanhood? I wouldn't care other than the fact that I think it looks gnarly, and I'm extremely curious.

Cutting it short, will post again soon...

My First Mookie

I played in my first Mookie tonight on Full Tilt. slb159 staked me for the thing. I finished 26th out of 71. I heard I won some points for the blogger leader board which sounds like fun. Didn't win any money though. I'll have to play in the next one now, heh. I did have the satisfaction of busting out Waffles though. It was folded to me on the button and I held 44. I raise 3x bb, small blind folds and Waffles pushes his short stack all in. It's a coin flip most likely so I call. If I lose I still have a manageable stack. He shows Q6 and my sailboats hold up. I can't wait to read how I played that like a donkey in his blog tomorrow :)

Random chat in a 1.75 two table donkament...

Jdawg88: chigga= *****/ n i g g a?
Jdawg88: c h i n k
Jdawg88: im not tryna be offensive.
ChiggaNick: no
Jdawg88: thats what it means in korea
Jdawg88: derrogative term
Gordogg: he's half black half eskimo which=eskibro
Jdawg88: lol
ChiggaNick: lol

I thought of something recently. When on a flush draw, you figure you have 9 outs so you calculate pot odds based on that figure. But realistically wouldn't you agree that the odds of a player or players folding at least one of the suits you need pre flop to be high? I think one would have 8 outs or less a reasonable percentage of the time. Mind you 8 outs isn't that much worse than 9, but 7 or 6 outs is significantly different. So why calculate 9 outs every time when considering pot odds? Something to think about...

Random Ramblings

I'm gonna ramble....a one two three four..

www.pokergods.com

Subject: Bad Beats

Dear PokerGods,

Please even out the bad beat to suck out ratio because it's kinda pissing me off at the moment. The thing is when you like to drink as much as I do, there are reprecussions. Such as shitting more than humanly necessary. I have a full time job at a hardware store. I spend time shitting in the public restroom more than the average human. Something I've noticed is that some men like to moan as if they are receiving the blow job of their life when they take a piss. I'll be sitting in the shitter and they don't know I'm in the room so they moan like it's fucking a glory hole urinal. For the record, I have never moaned while taking a piss. The most i've done is the "ahhhh" sound that's it. I've asked friends and they have never done it either. But some dudes i overhear are like "mmmm, oh shit, ahhhh"" a second or two passes t hen "ohhh god, ahhh jessus ahhhhhh". I can't help but laugh. WTF is that all ab

Ok that's all for now, peace.

Geometry Lesson

yosoyveneno: circle jerk?
little_love_elf: lol
little_love_elf: ew
Gote: when guys get in a circle and jerk it
yosoyveneno: define pls
irongirl01: Bunch of guys jerking off in a circle Veneno
Gote: to be blunt
irongirl01: mostly guy men
irongirl01: gay men
Gote: sometimes it's a contest
irongirl01: lol
Gote: to see who can cum first
Gote: i'm a four time champ
little_love_elf: what the???

Who is this guy?

This is on the front page of espn.com right now..

Many of us dream of winning the World Series of Poker. It's a holiday, no rules. My 3yr. old son is with me so we will be outside looking for eggs in a few hours with a slew of other kids. When I was a kid, easter eggs were hidden throughout the inside of the house. I've never hunted for eggs outside. Without rain of course, I think outside sounds like a hell of a lot more fun. More area to explore and it's exciting being outside like you would be on a real hunt. Plus you get to battle with all the other kids, it's a war zone. Luckily my son has studied Chuck Norris. I get a feeling I'm going to see at least one roundhouse kick to the head of some poor snot nosed brat.

Haven't done anything terribly exciting pokerwise. Did two $5 HU sng's yesterday. Played Veneno HU one game, lost on a suck out of course. I had 55, board was 9639, all the money goes in, she has AK. River K, which stands for "Kick" in my balls. She also bluffed me off a tourney winning hand. I came close to calling, I had pocket 88 on a AJxxT board, she pushes on river. I seriously consider calling thinking a bluff is a highly likely scenario, but I fold reasoning that if I'm wrong, I've lost the game. I'll just outplay her instead. I forgot to factor in the Veneno suck out goddess factor. Played Weak after that, lost. We were even for a while, going back and forth. Then I get top pair and lost to turned trips. I knew I was beat after he raised my turn bet, but I had 300 chips left after that, so auto call. After that I realized I should've just pushed all in on turn if I was gonna bet, instead of leaving myself with meaningless shit chip stack. Durr.

Testing 123

It's time for me to quit being a lazy ass and start blogging again. I'm going to try my best to post on a consistent basis. It doesn't matter if I'm hammered, tired or lazy I'll make an effort to post a sentence or two at least. Truth is I've been really busy the last year and it's hard to make time for everything. Blogging and reading blogs was not a top priority. I've been out of the loop for awhile now but hope to catch up on everything I've missed.

I have a few things I'd like to blog about, including my recent first time trip to Vegas where I met up with Veneno and HighPlainsDrifter. I feel like Phil Mickelson when he won the Masters in 2003. Congrats on his Masters win this year as well. The final hand of the sng was pretty funny. I had 200k+ and he had 50k. I have 89o he raises 3x bb, I call. Flop A9x two clubs. I check, he bets 15k I call. Turn Jc. I put him all in for 24k with my pair of 9's and a flush draw with my 8c. He calls with 2h3c. LOL. I think about posting all the time, but don't have anything to say in my opinion. Nothing cool anyways. I'll try to slap together something right now.

I've been losing what seems like forever. Lost my bankroll in fact. Played freerolls after that, winning $10 or $20 here and there. Then I'd lose it again, lol. Finally I'm back on a winning streak, small but good. I've paid back people that loaned me money and I'm sitting at close to $100 in my Stars account now. I'm just going to keep playing my game, not worry about winning or losing and see what happens. It's been working great for me the last few days. I've been doing well in the $6.50 turbo sng's in particular. Oh yeah, I played $1/$2 limit HE last night for about six hands and won $38, lol. Hit and run baby, yeahh.

There's another thing that's been helping me win. I started winning as soon as I made this very important change, and I'm willing to share it with you. Jessica Simpson wallpaper! She has made all the difference in the world. I love that woman. I swear to you, as soon as I changed from my old wallpaper to her, I started winning. It was like all I had to do was look at her for a few seconds and my spirits were uplifted and I was ready to whoop ass on the felt. So, Jessica Simpson, I want to thank you and if you read this leave me a comment so we can hook up and I'll buy you an ice cream cone with my fat wad of $1 bills.

Another thing that has helped my game is a book I read called "Zen and the Martial Arts" by Joe Hyams. I'm going to leave you with this excerpt as told by Bruce Lee to the author that helped put my learning potential into perspective:
"Let me tell you a story my sifu told me. It's about a Japanese Zen master who received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen."
"It was obvious to the master at the start of the conversation that the professor was not so much interested in learning about Zen as he was in impressing the master with his own opinions and knowledge. The master listened patiently and finally suggested they have tea. The master poured his visitor's cup full and then kept on pouring."
"The professor watched the cup overflowing until he could no longer restrain himself. 'The cup is overfull, no more will go in.' "
" 'Like this cup,' the master said 'you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?' "
Bruce studied my face. "You understand the point?"
"Yes," i said. "You want me to empty my mind of past knowledge and old habits so that I will be open to new learning."
"Precisely," said Bruce. "And now we are ready to begin your first lesson."

Keep your cup empty, poker success demands constant adaptation and learning.

How to Win a Heads Up SNG in One Hand

I felt like gambling. After playing in a $10 league tourney for Talking Poker, and busting 9th when I flopped trip T's on a KTT flop, pushed all in and got called by K9 who proceeded to catch his backdoor flush draw, I decided to play a $10 rebuy MTT. I only had $150 in my roll, but wanted to play an MTT and that was the only one starting soon. When playing rebuys, you have to multiply the buy in by at least 3 to account for the initial rebuy and the add-on. Unless you kick some major ass early, you will be spending at least 3x the buy in. Knowing this, and knowing I didn't have the roll to play that high, I registered anyways. I ended up rebuying like a motherfucker. I spent $70 or $80. I didn't cash. I came damn close, 45th places paid, I busted 60 something. AQsooted all in pre vs TT. Flop was AJT of course. Turn A. River blank. Bring on the tilt! I don't even remember how I lost the rest. I know I played at least 4 $10 sng's and couldn't cash, like a weak ass donkey. So that left me with $110 on Party and pocket change on a couple other sites. I decided to call it a night and not donk away my Party roll. It has all worked out since then. I cashed out $50 last night and put in on Stars. I built that up to $115. Only have $30 on Party now but overall I made about $40 so I'm happy with that. I'm results oriented, what can I say.

Denver got their ass beat by Pittsburgh. Woohooo. Seattle and Carolina is on right now. Seattle will take it down and we'll have a Pittsburgh vs Seattle superblow..errr..bowl.

Kind of a lame post, but this is what happens when I try to post more often. I suck balls at writing, unless I want to spend actual time and effort on a post. That's not my bag baby. Writing isn't really a passion for me. But, practice makes perfect so I should only be getting better the more I post. We shall see....

Poker, Playoffs, and PS2

I'm really trying to update more often. I know there are thousands of readers on the edge of their seat obsessively checking my blog to see if I have updated. Sorry to disappoint.

Bankroll is still in decent shape. I did bad things last night but thankfully it worked out. I lost $50 playing 1/2 limit hold em. I shouldn't have been playing in the first place with a $200 roll on Stars but I yearn to play for some decent money now and then. Staying within your limits gets downright borrrrring. So I lost that $50 at 1/2 and I can't even remember how I lost the rest but my roll shrinks down to $85 on Stars. I thought it would be fun to put it all on a 2/4 limit table. This thinking is probably somewhat related to the fact I'm on my ninth 16oz Busch tallboy and baked out of my mind. On tilt a little as well. What a rollercoaster that game was. I was up to $240 at one point and down to $25 at my worst. I am lucky to leave the table with $226 bones after all is said and done. I gotta stop that shit, lol.

Party Poker was another story. Well, same story different results. I started with $170, played a $20 MTT with Jester J double O double SE. We swapped 20 percent. We both busted before first break. My best hand was 77. No AK, AQ, AJ etc.. Cold ass deck. Jester had the same problem. Feeling "soo unsateesfied" like Teddy KGB I decide to play some SNG's. I wanted to win decent money so I played two $30's. I didn't cash in either so I gave up, leaving my Party roll at $88.

Football is going to be good this weekend. My picks are Pittsburgh and Seattle. I'm picking Pittsburgh because I fucking hate Denver. I'm a Chiefs fan, Denver can bite me. I like Jerome "the Bus" Bettis as well. I enjoy watching big beefcake runners like Bettis hit a hole and then plow over a helpless cornerback or two. Brings back memories of Christian Okoye. Remember that game Tecmo Bowl on Nintendo? Christian Okoye was unfucking tacklable the first offensive series of the game. Guys would bounce off him like rubber, it was hilarious. Eventually he got tired and couldn't run over guys but it was fun while it lasted. For those of you who don't know who Okoye is, he had a few good years in the late 80's early 90's with the Chiefs. His nickname was the Nigerian Nightmare. I don't think he had played any football when the Chiefs signed him. If he did, it wasn't much. It didn't matter though because he was built like Michael Clarke Duncan. He retired early, don't remember if it was injury related or he was tired of football. I seen him not long ago and he's still effin ripped. He's peddling some kind of body supplement health workout program something or other.

Seattle will beat Carolina because they deserve to win. It would be no fuckin fair if the Panthers make the Super Bowl again. They've been in the league for only ten years and if they make the big one twice already, that would make the Chiefs, Seahawks, and many other teams look very bad. We can't have that. Plus my buddy is a diehard Seahawks fan so since the Hawks aren't in the Chiefs division anymore, I can root for them. Has anyone seen the running back the Panthers are starting this week? His name is Keith Goings. He looks like a pretty good runner. One question though. Is this guy white? When I saw him play last week I coulda swore he was white. Then I saw him close up without his helmet on today and I can't tell if he's white or not. He might be a mixture. He looks so close to being white, but there's just something about his look that suggests he might not be. I can't fuckin tell. It doesn't really matter other than the fact that if he is white, I'm going to be rooting for him. Who is the last white running back you've seen play. I"m talking running back, not full back, so Alstott doesn't count. If that's not hard enough to remember, who's the last white running back you remember that was actually good? John Riggins is the only name that comes to mind. He might've been a fullback too, not sure. So go whiteboy go. Gotta support my fellow minorities.

I bought a new game for my Playstation 2 about a week ago. Yes, I like video games. Yes, I'm 27 years old. No, I don't think this will get me laid anytime soon, but they are fun. Especially while copping a buzz. The game I bought is "God of War". It is a badass game. This is the first game I've played with actual nakedness in it. It shows big naked tits and you can screw these chicks too. It doesn't show you pounding away, but you hear her moaning and a vase falls off the nightstand when she uhh, orgasms I guess. There is a drawback to getting new, badass games. I solve them too quickly. I play the shit out of it, beat it, then I'm bored with it. I'm not one of those gamers that likes to solve a game twice. It isn't fun to me after the first time. Yes the graphics and scenery are nice, but that's not reason enough for me to play the game again. My enjoyment comes from beating the levels. Once I've beaten the game, I've seen everything so the excitement is gone. I should pace myself the next game I get. Kind of like getting a new book or magazine. Sometimes I read the whole magazine in one day which is a waste. I need to learn to devour the magazine in bits and pieces so I can have fresh reading material for a substantial amount of shits. I am one of those people that has to have something to read while taking a shit. If there arent' any magazines or books, I'll read the Glade air freshener can. "Glade neutralizer spray is blended with just the right amount of plant and herb extracts to effectively neutralize odors." Plop, that's comforting to know. I'll end this rambling post before I really make you sick.

Bankroll News

Howdy ya'll. I really should get into the habit of updating more often. If I have any readers left (besides Veneno and Fwalg) thanks for sticking around. I will try to update at least twice a week. Key word is try.

Well, I went broke on Royal Vegas the night after I scored in that 7-stud tourney. I was up to $50 and decided to take a gander at the bad beat jackpot tables. Wasn't planning on playing the bad beat tables unless they had something cheap. I notice a table with .50/1 stakes. Doesn't say NLHE, must be limit. I grab a seat and start playing. I fold my first few hands, no big deal. Then I get into a pot with someone and realize, hey, this isn't limit holdem. Fuck, this is no limit! Not the best game selection for my mini-me bankroll. I end up losing the pot and that brings me down to 30 bucks or so. I must've been really baked or Royal Vegas doesn't label their tables right. Probably the former rather than the latter. Fuck that! Time to recoup my losses. I decide to stay at the table until I win my 20 bucks back. This is the thinking that always dooms my bankroll. I hate, and I mean HATE leaving a table down money. I feel like a failure. So I tell myself, "Just stay until you get your losses back then you can leave. No harm no foul." Well, I didn't recoup my losses obviously. So I busted out of Royal Vegas. But I still had some outs. I had $10 no deposit bonus waiting for me at PokerTime.

So the next day I log onto PokerTime and lose the $10 in the matter of an hour or so. Damn that sucked. Now, I have zero dollars online to play poker with. Damn, that REALLY sucked. Later that night I decide to play a 1K freeroll with my action points on DoylesRoom. I take 14th place or something for $15. I am back in the real money play, woohoo! I know this sounds pathetic. But if you don't have any money online, winning $15 in a freeroll is like finding money on the ground when you are broke. It's not much, but it's more than you had before you won/found it. It at least gave me a chance to build it up to something meaningful playing small SNG's and cash games. I don't get anywhere doing that. Kept winning then losing, treading water for the most part. So I'm playing a $2 sng with $10 left on Doyles and chatting with Veneno. She offers to back me on Stars for $50. The agreement we settled on was I split half of my profits with her on a per game basis until I have paid her $100. If I bust she loses the backing money. So if I cash in a SNG, she gets half of the profits. If I play a cash game and I'm up when I leave the table, she gets half of the profits. This was working good but I ended up busting before I could reach the goal. I paid back $37.50 so she lost $12.50 on the deal. Not a bad loss, but not what I/she was hoping for.

Ok now what? I'm a broke ass poker player. Wait, what's that I hear? It's my buddy Jester. He owes me $50 and he has transfered it into my PokerStars account. Cue the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, "Stayin alive, stayin alive." I play with that money for a couple days, trying to grind it up. But grinding is boring as fuck and I'm a gambooler at heart. So I log in the other night and I have $75 sitting in my Stars account. What shall I play. Don't really feel like grinding and I've been dying to play a $20 180 SNG. What the hell, I'll play one and if I lose I'll grind. I register for one and I'm ready to slay some fish. I forgot to bring my fishing pole and I bust out of that one. Fuck. Ok, I still don't feel like grinding. I'll play another one. I feel good and am playing well. I was sure to bring my pole and tackle box this time. I register for another one. I do goot in it. Really goot. I take third place for $428 bones. I cash out $200 and I'm back in bidness!!

Before that, I created a new Party account through a website that gives you $50 for free just for signing up. I had cancelled my old account because Party's customer service pissed me off. Everything goes through without a hitch so I have $50 on Party to play with now. Nice! Even though Party sucks balls, customer service wise, it is still free money. I do pretty well and build it up to just over $100. Fast foward to last night. I was playing strictly SNG's and MTT's on Party and Stars. Cue Buster Pointdexter "I'm feeling hot hot hot." I didn't score in any MTT's but I dominated the SNG scene. I won first twice in $30 sng's. I won first twice in $20 sng's (in one of them, I was down to 200 chips early). I got a second in a $50 sng. I cashed in a few others as well. In one of my $20 sng's, I was down to 70 chips with 7 left. I got involved in a hand and at the river I had Q high. It was a huge pot but I decided to fold and save my 70 chips because I KNEW I was beat. Why throw it away right? I was getting a billion to 1 pot odds but I didn't care. So I fold and type "lol" in the chat box. Whuddya know, I battle all the way back to take second place, hahaha. After all was said and done I made $500 profit last night.

The Poker Puffessor is back in the ballgame folks!

Ganja smoke+7stud=$ and a permagrin.

I'm listening to my current theme song. "The whiteboy is back, he'll put a foot up in your asscrack"-Whitey Ford Sings the Blues CD.

I've won a decent amount of money in the last three months. I don't like to have more than $500 online at a time so I always cash out when I make a nice score. I leave enough money on PokerStars to play with and usually leave some in Neteller. I put the rest in the bank. That plan worked well the last three months. The last month or so, I haven't been making big scores and my roll dwindled. Dwindled all the way down to nada two days ago. It was a mixture of beer tilt, tilt, bad plays, and poor bankroll management. The final nail in the coffin for my withered bankroll was a flurry of kicks in the junk that would make Johnny Knoxville cringe. I was Three Outer's bitch. Oh, and if I had a slight advantage in a heads up all in hand, forget about it holding up for a mothafucka. Also included to make the tilt-o-meter rise were the rollercoaster teaser beats. You know, you have pocket 77's all in against AJ. Flop is TKx, turn 7. Yay. River Q. Fuck!

Yesterday I found $10 in my Royal Vegas account. Free money, schwing! (If any readers are trying to build a bankroll, they give you a free $10 no deposit bonus for signing up with them.) I play some lame $2 SNG's and manage to squander $10 down to $1.80. I take the loose change and put it all on a .5/.10 NLHE table. I build it up to $14.50 in about an hour. Muy bueno Senor Grandetoke! I end the night at $19.90. Today I start my session with a weak $2.50 5 person SNG. I take first for 6.75. I'm feeling frisky after that so I decided to enter a 7-card stud hi tournament for $5.50. I know that's 25% of my roll thus bad bankroll management. You aren't supposed to sit with more than 5% of your roll at one time. But there is no fuckin way I'm grinding micro limits. I just don't have it in me to do that.

As I've mentioned before, I don't think stud is my best game for a couple reasons. One, I haven't played stud very much. I know good starting hands and enough strategy to fill a thimble at least half. Secondly, memory and observation skills are vital. Smoking a fat bowl while playing stud probably isn't +EV. But do I gives a shit? Hell nahhh.

The tournament draws 63 players. I take a mandatory pre-tourney puff. I'm feeling good. I play for over three hours, no bad beats that I can remember, and to my amazement take a solid third place. Even after Fwalgman made fun of me for wondering why we weren't all sitting at the table with nine left, I was able to keep my composure. For you hold em' players out there still scratching your head like an ape going "durrr, why can't nine sit at the same table?" read Fwalg's blog. Veneno didn't catch on either so I don't feel so bad. Thanks for sharing the butt of Fwalg's joke with me Veneno. I'll be the left cheek, you can be the right. It feels good to know I can play stud ok while paying homage to the buddah gods. More than likely I just got lucky.

The third place finish was for $40, a really nice little bankroll booster. That brings my Royal Vegas roll up to $57. Hopefully in a day or two I can change my theme song to "Super Disco Breakin" by the Beastie Boys which include a repeated line "money makin, money money makin".

Weak Ass Trip Report

I left November 30th at 3pm. I arrived at the hotel around 5:45 pm. I should've got there around 5 pm but rush hour traffic and fucked up directions from Expedia kicked me in the junk. From there it was about a 1.5 hour drive to Spirit Mountain Casino in Grande Ronde, OR.My friend Jason had flown down from Alaska and we had two nights to play cards. He had never played live before because Alaska only allows bingo and pull tabs. Not even a state lottery. Retarted, I know. Honestly, I've never been to any casino other than Chinook Winds so this was going to be a new experience for me as well. As I stated in a previous post, Chinook's cardroom sucks balls. Spirit Mountain's room was ten times better. It was like the difference between Jessica Simpson and Bea Arthur. Like Heineken compared to Milaukees Best Ice. Or, perhaps like PokerStars as opposed to Titan/Noble poker. Maybe like.....ok ok enough.

We arrived Wednesday night at 8pm. Unfortunately there weren't any seats open so we put our names on the list for 2/4 limit holdem and 1/2 NL hold em. We found the lounge and ordered a beer. By the time we were done, they hadn't paged us yet. We stumbled upon video poker machines to kill time. We both lost money. Fortunately we didn't have to play long because we got paged for the poker room 10 mins later. The 2/4 limit had two seats open. Cool, or so I thought. We sit down and something occurs to me after playing for a few minutes. Everyone except for Jason and two other guys are at least fifty years old. The guy on my right is on a fuckin oxygen tank and has to be pushing 107 years old. He was a good guy but he took for fuckin ever to act. Jason was on my left and later he told me how the old guy said he got shot during deer season, haha. I heard him say he got shot but he talked so damn quietly I did the smile head nod thing with him many times. Anyways we both ended up losing money. I dropped $80 before we left.

The next night we went back and got in the $1/$2 NLHE right when we got there. I had $60 left to play with so I put it on the table. The table consisted of alot of younger college age kids. This is the table texture I was looking for, opposite of the 2/4 from the night before. I left the table with $327. It was sweet. I should've busted early. I get A3 off in the BB. It was either raised a tiny amount or I saw a free flop I can't remember. Flop is AAK. I bet 15 get called by another dude in late position. Turn is an 8 I believe. I bet again, $20 if I remember right. He calls me again. River is a lovely 3. I push in for my last $40 or so. He calls. He has AJ. He wasn't pleased. It was a $220 pot (counting the money I put in as well). That was the key hand for my succesful night. I took a decent sized pot off of Jason as well. Flop had AAx, I had AT he had A9 I believe. In the end my kicker played and I won.

It was a great time. I'm going to play at Spirit Mountain as much as possible now. It's about the same driving distance away as Chinook Winds. The only reason I've went to Chinook is because I do grocery shopping when I go there. Spirit doesn't have any shopping centers near it.

Sorry this took so long to post, and it's kinda weak. But I haven't been in the mood to write lately. Today is my birthday though and I promised to get it up by then. I'm 27 yrs old today btw. Peace.

Returned yesterday from my road trip. Lost 3 $40 buyins and 1 $100 buy in. Ouch. Lost a $20 180 sng and a $30 single table sng. All in all, it was a very unfortunate night. On the bright side it was fun playing with SirF as we got seated at the same table in two MTT's. The first one was a 500 FPP (PokerStars) freeroll for seats into the 700k guranteed tourney. There were about 160 entrants and only top 4 places win a seat worth a $500+30 buy in. After a while Sir got moved to my table. We were both pretty short on chips. He pushes all in preflop with KT off. I call with A3 off. It's heads up. He hits his K on the flop. I'm in big trouble. But what comes on the river? The A baby! I couldn't help but laugh my ass off when that happened. We were on the microphone too so I kinda laughed in his face. Sorry Sir. It was hilarious though, lol. I busted soon after that in 20th place.

We then decided to play a $20 180 together. I got moved to his table soon after first break if I remember right. We didn't get to play one hand together because SirF picked up AK sooted and got it all in against another guy before I got dealt a hand. I can't remember what the other guy had but Sir lost and was out.

Played in Dr. Pauly's tournament today. I finished 50th out of 51 entrants. I forgot I was playing against a field of decent to great players. I tried to push a guy off a hand and lost half my stack early. It would've worked in the 180 sng on Stars dammit, lol. I ended up busting out with an up and down straight draw and flush draw on the turn. I didn't improve on river and he beat me with pocket fives, yikes. No improvement for his hand. I played the hand badly though, I shoulda pushed on the flop over the top of his small raise. I had a short stack so I should've committed all my chips then and there and gave myself a better chance to win the pot.

I've got some rebuilding to do. What to play, what to play. O8 is acting like a bitch so I'm going back to the warm nurturing bosom of hold em. I hope she puts out tonight.

Quick Update

Didn't play cards last night. I played on Monday night though. I was doing well at first. Had over $300 at a $50 NLHE 6max table. Then I lost it all. Main hand that fucked me was pocket 33's. Nasty ass crabs. There was a five dollar raise preflop. I decided to gamble a little so I called and saw a flop. We are heads up now. I hit my set, sweet. He raises pot. I reraise all in, he calls with TT. Dildo Fucknutz promptly hits his two outer on the river. That brought my stack down to about $120. I never regained composure after that and eventually lost the rest.

Some would say that I can't complain because I called a rather large preflop bet with way the worst of it. I disagree. The whole point of my call was to hit a set, and if I didn't I'm done with the hand. That's one of the advantages of having a huge stack at a cash game. You can gamble more. You make up for the potential gambling losses by winning a bunch of small pots. You win the small pots by bullying. Doyle Brunson talks about it in SuperSystem. It's a fun style but you have to be willing to fold post flop when necessary. There was some moron at the table talking shit too. He was losing, yet talking shit. He never once had more money than I. That didn't help my tilt. I hate morons that talk shit. Especially when they suck balls at poker.

I played some 08 with SirFWALGMan as well. We are both newbies to 08. He seems to really be enjoying that game now. That feeling is aided by the fact that he's been winning the whole time. I can't wait for "my nut boat got sucked out on by quads" posts that are sure to come in the future.

My Chiefs beat Houston's ass on Sunday. That was sweet. Larry Johnson is looking like a badass more and more each week. He had over 200 yards rushing and 2 TD's. He broke the Chief's record for most yards rushing in one game all time. It helps that Houston has the worst rushing defense in the league. Trent Green finally had a good game as well. Other than the fact that he almost got picked off three times that is. He hasn't been the same this year. Not sure if it's age/decline in ability (he's 35 yrs old) or the personal things in his life (his father recently passed). Hopefully he's out of the slump and we win next week. Our schedule is fuckin brutal throughout the rest of the year. Here's the list of asses we need to kick:

Sun 11/27
New England
1:00 pm

Sun 12/4
Denver
4:15 pm

Sun 12/11
at Dallas
4:15 pm

Sat 12/17
at NY Giants
5:00 pm

Sat 12/24
San Diego
1:00 pm

Sun 1/1
Cincinnati
1:00 pm

Can you say ouch? I'll be leaving in 30 minutes to pick up my son from his mother's place. He's two years old and I love him to death. I have him one week on, one week off. It seems to be working well. It's about a 1hr 40min drive each way. Not bad at all.

I'm excited I get to stop at any fast food restaurant I want. The small things in life make this stoner happy. All we have around where I live is McDonalds, DQ, and Subway. No Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, etc....

I fuckin love Taco Bell. It's cheap, tastes good, and open late. A stoners paradise. But, there is no Taco Bell in this hillbilly farm town I'm in. For the amount of mexicans that live around here I'm damn surprised there isn't a Taco Bell. I was pissed about that, but wait. There is a fast food joint called Taco Time. Now, what is this I thought to myself. I've never heard of this place before. For there is no Taco Time in Alaska. Have I been missing something all these years? Maybe they are BETTER than Taco Bell! I'm filled with anticipation as I order from their menu. I choose the three crunchy tacos for $2 deal, muy bueno. I park the car and take my first bite. I try to taste the bite. I can't. I know I have food in my mouth because I'm chewing. Weird. I put some taco sauce on my taco and take another bite. Well, I taste taco sauce but nothing else. WTF? Is this taco meat made of tofu? Is the taco shell made of plain rice cakes? No, they just suck balls. Horrible food. I guess they didn't think it was a good idea to season their taco meat, wtf? Their vegetables hardly have a taste to them as well. It's weird. I've never experienced such crappy fuckin fast food.

I was zooted one day and decided to try them again. I'm a second chance kind of guy. Plus, there aren't many choices in Cletus the Slackjawed Yokel, Oregon. Last time, I just got a bad batch of tacos I tell myself as I pull up to the drive thru. I peruse their menu for the biggest most expensive burrito they have. It has to taste good if it's the most expensive thing on the menu right? I found what I was looking for. It was a chicken ranch big ass burrito thing. It cost over 4 bucks. For one burrito. I could eat like a fuckin king for $4 at Taco Bell. Anyways, I order the can't-miss burrito. I park and take my first bite. Have you ever had to eat or drink something that tastes shitty so you pinch your nose while you consume it to mask the taste? That's what eating this burrito was like. But I wasn't pinching my nose. It looked so damn good. Full of chicken, tomatoes, rice, bacon, etc... I could hardly taste the motherfucker though!! I didn't have a cold or stuffy nose. I wasn't shitfaced drunk. It was the sorry ass food. It wasn't bad tasting, it just didn't have a fuckin taste at all!! As soon as I score big in a MTT, I'm going to buy a Taco Bell franchise to force Taco Time's pathetic ass out of this town.

Kiss my ass Taco Time.

Final Table

Played in a $20 180 SNG on Stars yesterday. Made the final table again. Got 7th again. I won some money so I hate to bitch BUT I would like to get over the hump and take one of these bastards down! I'm telling you all should give these things a shot if you haven't yet. Soft players galore.

My fuckin Chiefs lost today. They couldn't even score a TD. 14-3 losers to the Bills. The freakin BILLS! Trent Green decided to throw three interceptions and zero TD's. Of course he was my starting QB in my Fantasy League this week because my normal starter Carson Palmer is on a bye. Even though Trent Green cornholed me, I have a good chance to win my game this week. I had Roy Williams as one of my starting recievers. What a monster game he had. 117 yds and 3 TD's. I had Joey Galloway starting as well. 137 yds and 1 TD. Rod Smith was my third and final WR. He had 50yds 1 TD, not bad. I am especially proud of my waiver wire pick up of Samoken Gado (not sure if that's his first name, close though). He's the RB for Green Bay. As I've mentioned before, I'm hurting bad for running backs on my team so I scramble every week and see what I can find. All Gado did was rush for 100yds and score 3 TD's! Can you say fuck yeah! The dude I'm against this week has Drew Bledsoe and Julius Jones on his team. As long as Bledsoe doesn't have a great game Monday night against the Eagles, I should win this week.

I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. I moved to Oregon last May. My buddy Jason is flying from Fairbanks, AK to Portland November 30th. He'll be in town for a few days. Portland is only an hour and a half away from where I live. (One difference between Alaska and Oregon that is fuckin sweet is actually getting places without having to drive for hours on end.) Can you say, partayyyy! He has never played live casino poker. I'm going to take him to Spirit Mountain Casino where we will take all the chip stacks in cold calculating style :) I haven't been there yet. It's much bigger than the local casino I frequent. Well, I don't really frequent the local casino. I've only been there four times in six months. The name is Chinook Winds Casino. Their poker room consists of four tables in the corner by the snack bar with a neon sign hanging over head that says "Poker". Pretty impressive eh? They have a wide variety of games, 3/6 Limit HE or 1/2 NLHE. I've seen the 1/2 NL game going two out of the four times I've been there. The other times it was just 3/6. Needless to say, it sucks balls. I'm excited about checking out a hopefully bigger card room with more games available.

I'm outta hither. That make BigChief angry!

Currently clearing a bonus at Empire poker. 100% deposit match up to $100, bonus code PLAYNOV. It's a 10x bonus meaning the raked hands required to clear it are 10x the bonus dollar amount. So that means I have 1k raked hands to slog through. Is it possible you ask? Does howdy doody have wooden balls? No problem. I racked up a little over 400 raked hands today. 2.5 hours three tabling .50/$1 limit hold em. I made $140 in the process as well. Chinga chinga chinga. One of my favorite hands was me rivering quad 2's to beat a full house for a 30BB pot. One outer baby, yeahh!!! It nice to do the junk kicking every once in a while.

I tried BlackJack at Titan poker the other day. Pissed away $50 in about 5 mins. It rather sucked my balls. Maybe they'll kick me some money back like they did to SirFwalgman. I am in Titan's 1k depositor freeroll tomorrow, but don't think I'll be able to make it. Ah well, Titan isn't my favorite site anyways. There may be fish there, but their software annoys the fuck out of me.

BigChief is sleepy. Too many puffs from the peace pipeum.

Been sick the last few days. Nasty cold. Not feeling like typing much right now, must get better first.

I did promise poker content in this post didn't I? Played a $20 180 SNG on Stars last night and scored 7th. I was the short stack in the BB. Blinds are 1k/2k and I have 18k. It was folded around to the biggish stacked button who raised it up 3x the BB. I felt he could make this raise with a wide range of hands and I was getting to the point where I had to make a move so I pushed my stack in with pocket eights. He calls with KJ sooted and spikes a K on the flop. No improvement for me and out 7th for $124. I was disappointed. I really want to score first in one of these things. I've made the final table twice, 2nd place and 7th place last night. If you have money on Stars and like MTT's that don't take 5+ hours you should give these 180 SNG's a shot. It takes about 3 hours to get to the final table. Decent payouts for top three places.

I'm in a fantasy football league on Yahoo with some members of www.talkingpoker.com, the best poker forum on the net. Lost my fantasy football game this week. My record is 4-5 for the year now, boooo. I need a good running back. I had Deuce McAllister, he's injured for the rest of the year now. I have Cadillac Williams, but he's been injured and hasn't done shit since he came back the last two games. So my best RB is Curtis Martin right now. Ughhh. I need SirFWALGMan to trade me a running back, aka Edgerrin James.

Post Numero Uno

Welcome to my blog, The Poker Puffessor. I've been reading poker blogs since March 2004. I've decided to hop on the bandwagon and create a blog for myself after some encouragement from other bloggers (really, I just want to play in the PokerStars blogger tourney next year). A few things worth mentioning:

1) I will blog about poker and sports related subjects. That doesn't mean I won't blog about other things as well, but these two subjects are my primary focus.

2) I'm not a writer by any means. I can't even remember the last thing I've voluntarily written. It's going to be interesting to see how this turns out.

3) I've played poker seriously since March 2004. It's not a coincidence that that's when I started reading poker blogs as well. I've had moderate success lately, so I feel I'm consistently getting better at poker. Or, maybe I suck and get lucky once in a while.

4) I love to smoke herb. As if you couldn't tell by my name and the name of this blog. I smoke while playing almost always. There are benefits to smoking the sweet leaf while playing, will post about that later. There are some drawbacks as well. Needless to say, 7-card stud is not my strongest game.

5) I love to drink beer. Now, unlike herb, beer is pretty much baaaad while playing. For me anyways. I play better when not drinking. The simple solution to that problem is never drink and play cards. Do I listen? Hell no.

That's it for now. There will be poker content in my next post, thanks for stopping by.
